Mikael Grenier will return to the Firestone Indy Lights Championship this weekend at Long Beach with Team Moore Racing. The 20-year-old Canadian will race the No. 22 car driven by Ethan Ringel on the streets of St Petersburg and by Victor Carbone last time out at Barber.
Grenier tested for the squad during the winter, but was unable to put together a deal to contest the opening two races.
"It was really hard to be home watching the first two races on my computer rather than being in the car, especially after putting a lot of effort this winter in testing and developing the car together," he said. "Missing the first two races is not ideal, but I believe we are going to be very strong this weekend at Long Beach.
"I know the team and the people I will be working with very well and we just have to do our jobs like we always do and the result will come to us."
Grenier contested five Indy Lights races with Moore in 2011, with a fifth-place finish at Barber his best result. Prior to that he was a race winner in Star Mazda in Conor Daly's title-winning season of 2010.
