Team Vodafone confirms Holden move

Championship-winning outfit Team Vodafone will switch marques from Ford to Holden from 2010, the team announced at a press conference at Holden headquarters in Melbourne today. The team's decison to switch manufacturers comes just over a year after Ford restructured its commitment to V8 Supercar, which saw it focus on Ford Performance Racing and Stone Brothers Racing and drop support for Team Vodafone and Jim Beam Racing. In response to the decision, the Team Vodafone cars have run this season without Ford logos, which have been replaced with those of the team's sponsors.
 

Shedden replaces Eaves at CVR

Gordon Shedden will return to the British Touring Car Championship at Snetterton this weekend after replacing Dan Eaves at Clyde Valley Racing. The Scotsman, who has 10 BTCC wins to his name, has not raced since the Brands Hatch season opener, after which he was replaced in the Team Dynamics Honda line-up by former champion James Thompson. Shedden, who will stay with the team for the rest of the season, said: "I was approached by [team boss] Colin Neill very recently and things have moved fast to this point
