The Graham Rahal Foundation will be auctioning Graham's race worn helmet from the IZOD IndyCar Series finale at Auto Club Speedway.
Rahal conducted the inaugural helmet design contest to give fans the opportunity to be involved in the design process for his race weekend helmet. Fans from multiple countries participated in the contest and submitted their personal designs. At the conclusion of the submission period, Rahal selected the top five designs and posted them on www.grahamrahalfoundation.org. Fans then had the opportunity to vote for the winning helmet. When voting concluded, Vincent Veneges' design was chosen as the winner and painted by Art Rotondo (www.artrotondo.com), who provides the art work for all of Rahal's helmets. Rahal then sported the helmet during the MAVTV 500, where he finished sixth.
The Graham Rahal Foundation will be auctioning the helmet through Rahal's celebrity eBay page at www.celebrity.ebay.com. Fans must visit the website from Sept. 26, 2012 through Oct. 3, 2012 to attempt to secure the winning bid.
