Luca Filippi finished this morning's busy second GP2 practice session at the Algarve circuit with the quickest time, the Super Nova driver tipping Davide Valsecchi (Addax) out of the top spot with a best lap of 1m32.894s.
With the circuit still drying out after a brief rain shower earlier this morning, times fell dramatically as the session progressed, and Filippi produced his best effort just as the chequered flag was brought proceedings to a close.
As was the case in the first session, the changing conditions meant that the order altered constantly, with Kamui Kobayashi, Lucas di Grassi, Alvaro Parente, Nico Hulkenberg, Giedo van der Garde and Valsecchi all managing stints in first place, although the huge spread of the lap times pointed to how few drivers had an opportunity to post a lap when the track was at its best.
