DAMS has signed Christian Vietoris and Edoardo Piscopo for the GP2 Asia Series. The French squad, which won last year's drivers' and teams' championships with Kamui Kobayashi and Jerome d'Ambrosio, is determined to retain its titles, according to team CEO Jean-Paul Driot.
"New season, new drivers, new challenges," said Driot. "But only one single goal for DAMS: to be as successful this season as we have been last year. The motivation of the team is stronger than ever to meet this challenge and keep the titles claimed last year!"
German racer Vietoris finished as runner-up in the F3 Euro Series, and has left Mucke Motorsport ahead of the season finale in order to take part in the clashing GP2 test at Abu Dhabi's Yas Marinas circuit.
Piscopo, meanwhile, was the runner-up in Italian F3 last year and lies 11th in the Formula 2 championship with a round remaining.
