GP Sports Management announced Tuesday it has signed Santino Ferrucci to a driver representation agreement. Ferrucci is currently a KF3 driver for the Energy Kart team based in Italy, and he is the only American driver to ever win a UK Super One Series race (in 2010). Santino's dream is to one-day win the Formula 1 World Championship for the U.S.

“I'm really excited to sign with GP Sports Management because I know they will unlock the doors I need to get to the next levels of my racing career,” said Ferrucci. “Their reputation in the industry speaks for itself, but for me the clincher was when I spoke with Dan Wheldon in Sonoma last summer.  He told me that GP Sports would be the best for me and that they would treat me like family. I'm confident I will have a great racing career with them.”

Ferrucci is currently racing in class KF3 in the Global CIK-FIA Karting Championships, a series with 13-16 year old racers and an average class size of 115 racers. Santino is currently fifth after Round 1 of the CIK-FIA European Championship out of 113 racers and sits 9th in the WSK Euro Series. Since he began karting at the age of five, Ferrucci has won on a National level in Cadet, Rotax, HPV, Yamaha and Iame Jr., and in every major sanctioning body in North America, including WKA, Stars of Karting & the Florida Winter Tour.   

In 2011, he was the U.S. National points champion in Rotax Junior and he is the only back-to-back national champion in the Florida International Winter Tour Cadet Series (2008 & 2009). In his short karting career, Ferrucci has more than 31 National race wins and more than 90 top-5 finishes combined in the World Karting Association, Stars of Karting and other International competitions.
