Multiple touring car champion Fabrizio Giovanardi will return to the Surfers Paradise V8 Supercar event for a second year.
The 44-year-old Italian will again drive for Brad Jones Racing, alongside either Jason Bargwanna or Karl Reindler. Giovanardi was paired with the latter last year, and took a ninth-place finish in the first leg of the meeting, which sees the V8 regulars joined by international guest drivers.
Giovanardi has three European Touring Car titles to his name, and was also a double champion in both the British and Italian series.
Although he does not currently have a full-time top-level drive, he won this year's ETCC Cup in Austria last weekend.
