Oliver Gavin has completed Kelly Racing's lineup for October's Surfers Paradise V8 Supercar races.
The British driver becomes the fourth "international" driver to sign for the team, joining fellow GT racers Jorg Bergmeister and Richard Westbrook , plus IndyCar racer Alex Tagliani.
The Corvette GT ace believes that his experience of heavy, V8-powered machines should help him adapt to the Holden Commodore he will share with Greg Murphy without too much trouble.
"Every car and tire is different and you probably need to have a certain style of driving to get the most out of it," said the Corvette Racing driver. "The basic layout of the V8 is similar to the Corvette, but until you get your butt in the seat you're never really sure what it'll be like to drive. I'm relishing the challenge – it will be fantastic fun."
Gavin has taken three American Le Mans Series GT1 titles and four class wins at the Le Mans 24 Hours, all with the factory Corvette squad.
