FT-86 to be badged as a Scion?

Images of the "Scion FR-S" concept have leaked ahead of the car's official appearance at the New York motor show. The Scion is tipped to be the U.S. version of the new Toyota FT-86 sports car, although no official confirmation has ever been given by either of the companies.

The new concept car is a more modest-looking iteration of the Toyota-badged version detailed here, but Autocar reports that the Scion will be the same car underneath. Externally, the Scion FR-S does without the Toyota's imposing LED lights from the front end, which are chief among the changes.

Concept flourishes do still, however, feature. The wing mirrors and large alloys, for example, probably won't make production.
