Vitor MeiraVitor Meira will stay on with A.J. Foyt Racing for a third IZOD IndyCar Series campaign in 2011.

The 33-year-old Brazilian's first campaign with IndyCar legend Foyt's squad was disrupted by back injuries sustained at the 2009 Indianapolis 500. But he finished 12th in the standings during an uninterrupted 2010 program, the highlight of which was a podium finish in his home race in Sao Paulo.

"I am really happy about working with A.J. Foyt and his ABC Supply team again," said Meira. "Being able to continue the progress that we made at the end of last year will make for a good season this year. We know the areas that we have to work in to improve and we have already started to do that in the off-season."

Foyt has also retained Meira's engineer Jeff Britton and lead sponsor ABC Supply.

Meira has been an IndyCar regular since 2002, and was a regular frontrunner with the Rahal Letterman and Panther teams in the middle of the decade, although he is yet to secure a win in the series.
