The Marc VDS and Belgian Racing teams will compete in this weekend's GT1 World Championship event at Paul Ricard after overcoming their Ford engine supply issues.
The participation of the squads, both of which field a pair of Ford GTs, had been in doubt as replacement powerplants ordered from American engine builder Roush Yates, were not due to arrive in time due to the Independence Day holiday.
The units did arrive earlier this week however, which has allowed both outfits to compete in France, despite the quick turnaround time.
Marc VDS team manager Jean-Michel Delporte said: "The engines we needed for this weekend's race didn't arrive in our workshop until Monday evening and it is only because of the dedication and hard work of our mechanics that we made it to Paul Ricard on time."
There is a change to the Marc VDS driver lineup this weekend. Frederic Makowiecki returns to share a car with Maxime Martin. IndyCar driver Bertrand Baguette had replaced him at the last round at Navarra as the Frenchman was on Intercontinental Le Mans Cup duty at Imola.
