Force India has lodged an intent to appeal the decision to hand a penalty to Adrian Sutil following the Singapore Grand Prix.
The German driver, who finished in eighth position, was demoted to 10th following a 20-second penalty, as the race stewards deemed he had gained an advantage by going around the outside of Turn 7 on the opening lap of the event.
Force India has stated its intention to appeal the decision, and the team has also lodged a protest against Williams driver Nico Hulkenberg for gaining an advantage by cutting a corner.
Hulkenberg was elevated to eighth position following Sutil's penalty, meaning Force India and Williams are now equal on 59 points in the standings.
