The Force India team was given a reprimand for its pit stop blunder during the German Grand Prix on Sunday.

The team was involved in a bizarre incident at the start of the event when it fitted the wrong tyres to their cars, giving Tonio Liuzzi team-mate Adrian Sutil's rubber and vice versa. The drivers pitted again immediately to rectify it.

Although the rules state that "the use of tires without appropriate identification may result in a grid position penalty or exclusion from the race," the German GP stewards have given Force India a reprimand. The decision means the drivers keep their positions, with Liuzzi in 16th and Sutil in 17th.
