The L.A. Daily News reports that Fontana, Calif.'s Auto Club Speedway boss Gillian Zucker made a presentation to IndyCar CEO Randy Bernard at last weekend's IZOD IndyCar Series round in Sonoma, although the various parties have not confirmed the meeting. The paper claims Zucker made the offer with the support of both track owner International Speedway Corporation and and speedway sponsor Auto Club.
At the announcement earlier this month that Auto Club Speedway would cut back to a single NASCAR date next year, in February, Zucker said the speedway would work to add events to its calendar for 2011.
