Status Grand Prix has completed its GP3 Series lineup by signing Chinese driver Adderly Fong to partner Jimmy Eriksson and Josh Webster.
Fong, 23, drove for the British team at the Estoril and Barcelona pre-season tests and has now committed to a full season.
"I'm looking forward to the season and it will be interesting," said Fong. "The new 400hp car is very tough, there is very strong competition, but we have good people at the team.
"The straightline speed of the new GP3 car is just amazing. It handles more like a big Formula 3 car, which is what I'm used to, but with everything more intense – bigger g-forces, heavier steering and more stopping power."
Fong began racing open-wheelers in Asia in 2006, but has raced extensively in Europe ever since. Last year he undertook partial campaigns in British Formula 3, Auto GP and Indy Lights as well as the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia. His main program was in the Asian-based Audi R8 LMS Cup, in which he won three races and finished second in the championship.
