TOPEKA, Kan. (July 27, 2007) – Thus far, Mother Nature has cooperated, and the course changes at Heartland Park Topeka are progressing on schedule, with the base layer of asphalt already in and the final paving scheduled for Monday, July 30.

With several walls already moved (Turns Alpha, One-Two, Five, Eight, Nine, 10 and 13), all that will remain following Monday’s paving will be the addition of curbing, tire walls and the completion of the catch fencing.

Heartland Park Topeka General Manager Lou Carroso said that the first full event to be held on the new pavement will be August 11, one week prior the final SCCA Club Racing National event of the year, August 18-19.
