The FIM has announced a 39-strong entry list for the inaugural Moto2 championship, which will supplant the 250cc series in 2010.

Current MotoGP teams Gresini, Hayate, Pramac, Tech 3 and Scot will run Moto2 arms, with former MotoGP teams Roberts and JiR also securing entries, alongside leading 125cc/250cc squads such as Aspar, Ajo, Balaton and Pons Pepe World.

A reserve list of 10 further entrants was also revealed. These will gain places in the field if the confirmed entries fail to pay a deposit or secure suitable riders by 2 November.
