The FIA is investigating the latest accident in which an all-new Peugeot 908 HDi became airborne following a testing crash.
In testing last month at Paul Ricard, Nicolas Minassian flipped after getting sideways at the fast Verriere-S corner at the end of the French track's start-finish straight. Peugeot initially denied the incident but the fact that the French manufacturer has met with FIA technical consultant Peter Wright and the Automobile Club de l'Ouest can be taken as confirmation that the crash occurred.
Peugeot did not release details of the accident other than saying that the crash occurred "because the driver lost the car."
It is the second time in recent months that there has been a similar accident following Marc Gene's rear-suspension failure at Aragon in December.
