The Formula 2 championship has increased its capacity to 25 cars with the confirmation that Jens Hoing has rejoined the series.
The German driver was on the initial entry list but was replaced by Edoardo Piscopo earlier this month. But Hoing has resolved his contract issues and will return in time to contest the final pre-season test at Silverstone tomorrow.
"This is my best chance to reach the top of professional motorsport," he said. "My aim is to score podiums this year before challenging for the title next season.
"I want to win the F2 championship in 2010. I am extremely grateful to my sponsor and my new management team who have made this drive in F2 possible."
Hoing raced in German F3 last season following three years in the German Formula BMW championship.
