"Gold at the Four," a Formula VIP Events program run concurrently with this weekend's United States Grand Prix, will "sensorially capture the history, beauty and drive of worldwide F1 racing" on Saturday, Nov. 17 with the F1 Art Show Breakfast at Gold at the Four Seasons Hotel in Austin from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.
The F1 Art Show Breakfast exemplifies the cultured experience that the U.S. Grand Prix weekend has to offer race fans from all over the globe. The work of world-renowned artists, sculptors and photographers including Sutton Images and artist Mark Dickens will be on display as an all-inclusive gourmet breakfast, champagne and drinks are served.
Sutton Images, the world's largest independent motorsport photographic agency, will be exhibiting award-winning photographs that illustrate the people and spirit of over 50 years of motorsports tradition. From speed and dust action photos, jubilant celebration images and driver portraits to detailed photos of contemporary race vehicles, and historically prized compositions of the drama and victory of 1960s-'80s racing, by pioneer David Phipps, who worked and lived alongside the major champions of the sport.
"The F1 Art Show is designed to show the profound emotions and passion that run deep in this sport," said Ian Weightman, founder and president of Formula VIP Events. "Photographers, painters and sculptors from around the world have come together to display their love of F1."
The artwork of Mark Dickens contributes to the visual documentation of the texture and color of F1. His mixed media collages work to translate the people and places of F1 into a visual format. Last season, Mark Dickens was commissioned by Bernie Ecclestone to create 19 paintings, one for each race, traveling with Formula One Management, creating a visual diary of the race week, encapsulating the dynamism and unique spirit that is F1.
Sculptors Gil Bruvel and Andreas Nuttebohm, along with painter, Andre Fafara will also contribute key pieces to the F1 Art Show Breakfast. Once commissioned by Mercedes Benz to illustrate "110 Years of Mercedes Benz History in America," Fafara inspires and awes through almost perfectly realistic depictions of vehicles and events.
The hotel offers an opulent and relaxing environment, where leading chefs will create the ultimate in fine dining experiences to compliment a series of amazing events, including the VIP Race Ball, International Banquet, Prohibition After Race Party and F1 Art Show Breakfast.
