Former British Formula 3 National Class runner-up Cristiano Morgado will replace John Martin at Comtec Racing's Formula Renault 3.5 team at Le Mans this weekend. Martin is unable to compete in France owing to a prior commitment with the Alan Docking-run Rangers Superleague squad.
The deal is currently a one-off, with Morgado traveling direct from his native South Africa for an intended seat fitting at the circuit tomorrow.
Morgado has been racing in the South African Formula Volkswagen series this season, but has experience of the previous generation World Series car, having tested for Antonio Ferrari's Eurointernational team.
