Marcus Ericsson has been given a 10-place grid penalty for the next round of the GP2 championship at Sakhir for causing a collision during the Sepang sprint race on Sunday.
Race stewards found the iSport driver guilty of breaching the championship's sporting regulations by initiating the contact that resulted in Davide Valsecchi's DAMS car rolling into retirement during the middle stages of the race. Ericsson also retired in the incident.
In a separate incident, Rapax driver Ricardo Teixeira was reprimanded and fined 1,000 euros for not rejoining the track in a safe manner.
