Petter SolbergPetter Solberg is pondering retiring completely from the Rally Finland after suffering engine problems this morning.

The former world champion was holding second place when two punctures from separate incidents forced him to pull out early yesterday. He rejoined under superally rules today but has fared little better.

"It's just not pulling at all," said Solberg at the mid-morning service, "and we can't find anything on the data."

The Solberg Citroen team has changed the plugs, ECU and all other hardware it was possible to swap during the service halt in a cure to get the car on the pace.

Solberg, who is now in 68th position, has headed out to continue with the rally but plans to return to the service area and retire if the problem persists.
