Mattias Ekstrom triumphed for Audi in the DTM's Munich Olympic Stadium event on Sunday.
After HWA Mercedes pairing Jamie Green and Ralf Schumacher's win in Saturday's team relay contest, Green again reached the final during the second day's individual competition, which mostly took place in wet conditions.
The decider saw two heats, with Green winning the first following a pit stop delay for Abt driver Ekstrom. But the tables were turned in the second heat, where it was Green whose pit stop cost him ground, as Ekstrom claimed the outright victory in the non-points showpiece by 1.5 seconds.
Ekstrom had reached the final by defeating reigning champion Martin Tomczyk's RMG BMW in his quarter final and then current points leader Gary Paffett (HWA Mercedes) in the semis.
Schnitzer's Bruno Spengler, who won the 2011 Munich event, was the most successful BMW driver, reaching the semi-finals before losing to Green.
