Engine professionals will have a chance to tune up their own skills both before and after turning their attention to the latest technology and products on the PRI Trade Show floor as EFI University offers two separate one-day XFI training courses, on Nov. 28 and Dec. 2, in conjunction with Race Industry Week 2012 and the 25th Annual PRI Trade Show at the Orange County Convention Center.
 
EFI University, based in Temecula, Calif., is the first school of its kind, designed specifically to teach the principles and skills required to successfully navigate your way through the fast paced world of high performance electronic fuel injection.
 
“This is a place where someone can come who really wants to learn how to do this but doesn't want to experiment on his own car and blow it up,” said Ben Strader, founder and owner of EFI University, describing both his facility in Temecula and the opportunities it offers. “Where else can you go and have access to different types of ECUs and different vehicles and different dynamometers in a structured environment with an actual professional tuner to look over your shoulder and say, ‘Hey, I've made that mistake you're about to make so don't do that, and here's why.”

The first course, which focuses on proper setup of an ECU using the latest software, is a perfect chance for racing professionals to update their skills in EFI for racing applications. A detailed program leads students through the process of engine tuning, understanding electronics, and using computer control.  

The second session will be Fundamentals of High Performance Engine Tuning Using Aftermarket Electronic Fuel Injection.

The EFI training courses are among no fewer than eight major events during Race Industry Week that will take place in conjunction with this year's PRI Trade Show, which will run Nov. 29- Dec. 1 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.

The 25th Annual PRI Trade Show features the latest product lines of over 1000 manufacturers of racing and high-performance automotive components, as well as precision machining equipment.
