Bump Day qualifying for the Indianapolis 500 has been paused as a heavy rainstorm swept across the track.

Dreyer & Reinbold's Ana Beatriz and Ganassi's Graham Rahal were the only drivers who managed to get a run in before the rain arrived.

The weather passed the track relatively swiftly and with sunshine now attempting to break through, the chances of qualifying being able to resume later today currently look good. The track is available until 6 p.m. local time.

Up to 17 drivers are expected to try and claim one of the remaining nine spaces in the 33-car field today. Ganassi's Rahal and Charlie Kimball, Paul Tracy (Dreyer & Reinbold), Penske driver Ryan Briscoe and all four full-season Andretti Autosport drivers are among those who have yet to qualify for the Memorial Day weekend classic.
