Adrian NeweyAdrian Newey (LEFT) is making the difference when it comes to keeping Red Bull Racing ahead of its rivals, according to Ferrari boss Stefano Domenicali.

The Newey-designed RB7 car has proved the car to beat so far this year, as Red Bull carried its momentum following a championship-winning season in 2010. Domenicali believes rival teams have to raise their game to match Newey's creations.

"It's true, Red Bull has built a better car," he told Auto Bild Motorsport. "Why? Because Adrian Newey is simply more creative. We need to improve on this.

"For me it's a fact that Newey makes the difference between Red Bull and the other teams. He and his technicians do a better job."

The Italian also said Formula 1 should aim to reduce the overwhelming importance on aerodynamics, which he estimates to be 90 percent of a modern car's performance.

"We need to begin talking between teams and with the FIA. Aerodynamics accounts for 90 percent of a car's performance, and in my opinion that's not sustainable."
