di RestaForce India third driver Paul di Resta will sit out Friday free practice at the Brazilian Grand Prix.

The highly rated Scot, who the team is considering promoting to a race seat in 2011, last appeared in practice for the Italian Grand Prix. But the with Force India defending a three-point lead over Williams in the battle for sixth in the constructors' championship, it has opted to give its regular drivers Adrian Sutil and Vitantonio Liuzzi the maximum track time at Interlagos.

"We have some development parts to test and with the championship positions as tight as they are, we've decided to give the track time to the race drivers," said a team spokesperson.

Di Resta has driven during Friday's first free practice session eight times this season.
