Lucas di Grassi has become the eighth driver with Formula 1 race experience to sign up for the V8 Supercar round at Surfers Paradise on Oct. 21-23.
The Brazilian, who is currently Pirelli's F1 test driver, will co-drive the Mother Energy Racing Ford Falcon alongside Jonathan Webb. Di Grassi, joins HRT driver Vitantonio Liuzzi, Mika Salo, Jan Magnussen, Sebastien Bourdais, Christian Klien, Gianni Morbidelli and Stephane Sarrazin in the all-star field.
Di Grassi said: "It's a real privilege to be asked to join the high caliber of drivers taking part at this year's event. It's sure to be a special meeting and I can't wait to take on the Surfers Paradise track."
The former Virgin Racing driver is also the fourth Brazilian to confirm his participation in the race, alongside IndyCar drivers Helio Castroneves and Tony Kanaan and BMW GT racer Augusto Farfus.
