Action sports star Brian Deegan will team up with Race of Champions regular Travis Pastrana in Team USA at this year's RoC, which takes place in Dusseldorf on Dec. 3-4.
Deegan is best known as a motocross and supercross rider and off-road racer, and has also moved into cars in recent years, winning gold in the X Games' rally cross category this summer – his 13th career X Games medal.
"I've heard a lot about the Race of Champions from Travis down the years so I'm really looking forward to joining him next month," said Deegan. "It adds a bit of extra edge to be racing for Team USA in the RoC Nations Cup, so we'll bring a bit of our cowboy attitude and see how we get on. We know we're up against a mighty field of motorsport specialists but we'll give everything to come away with a good result."
Other drivers confirmed for the RoC include Formula 1's Sebastian Vettel, Michael Schumacher, Jenson Button, Romain Grosjean, Vitaly Petrov and Timo Glock, plus former World Touring Car champion Andy Priaulx, DTM champion Martin Tomczyk and double title winner (and three-time RoC winner) Mattias Ekstrom, Le Mans legend Tom Kristensen, and World Rally star Sebastien Ogier.
