Randy de Puniet has confirmed he will test Suzuki's potential 2014 MotoGP challenger at Motegi.
Suzuki's return to MotoGP has been long rumored, although it is yet to commit to an entry in next year's championship. The Japanese manufacturer withdrew from the sport at the end of 2011 (pictured), during which it had run a single-bike effort primarily for Alvaro Bautista.
Its last victory came via Chris Vermeulen at the 2007 French Grand Prix.
De Puniet could not give specific details of the test, but confirmed to the official MotoGP website: "We leave tomorrow to Japan to test with Suzuki in Motegi. I will be ready to be fast immediately.
"That is a good experience for me how to do a great job and I really hope to come back to Mugello for a good race."
