Anthony Davidson has been flown back to his home in England after his crash in the Le Mans 24 Hours last Saturday evening.
The Toyota driver sustained two fractured vertebrae when his car flipped at high speed following contact with GTE Am Ferrari driver Piergiuseppe Perazzini. Davidson was flown back from France by medical plane on Wednesday. Although his recovery time has been estimated at three months, he has already expressed a determination to be fully fit sooner.
Posting on Twitter, Davidson also vowed that the incident would not dissuade him from returning to Le Mans.
"You've been cruel once again Le Mans, but I'll stand on your top step one day," he wrote.
