Anthony Davidson has conceded the Audi R18 has an edge on the Peugeot 908 at this year's Le Mans, but still believes the French team can apply pressure to the sole remaining Audi in the final hours.
Davidson's #7 Peugeot, which he shares with Marc Gene and Alex Wurz, is currently third, around 40 seconds behind the leading Audi and 20s behind the #9 Peugeot.
He believes the Audi is slightly faster, but is under pressure. The 908s are proving more fuel efficient.
"We don't have the pace to beat them on outright speed, but it's close enough that if we drive right on the edge we can be a thorn in their side," he told AUTOSPORT.
"I was giving it everything in my last stint and I could see [Audi driver Marcel] Fassler doing exactly the same - taking risks in the traffic.
"They're doing a good job, but at least we've still got three cars."
