Three days before his 20th birthday, Conor Daly will spend a day testing in Valencia, Spain, on Monday Dec. 12 with Team West-Tec in one of its F3 Euro open cars. The British-based team is the current champion team in F3 Euro Open, the former Spanish national F3 category which also races at Estoril, Portugal and Spa, Belgium.

Having spent two days testing recently in Valencia in a GP3 car, Daly – who split time this year between GP3 in Europe and Firestone Indy Lights in North America – said he is looking forward to the test as an interesting comparison.

"F3 has always been a great series and I jumped at the opportunity to test because the more miles and experience I gain in the European environment, the better driver I will become," said Daly. "I'm very curious as to what the difference will be between GP3 and Formula 3."

"We have followed Conor for quite a while and tried to get him into our team for the 2011 season," said John Miller, partner, Team West-Tec. "He has quite a bit of junior series experience and we want to tap into that experience a little by putting him in one of our cars for a day".
