Conor Daly will skip Thanksgiving to return to the Carlin GP3 team this week in Valencia, Spain, for two days of winter testing. Carlin's GP3 team will field two cars on Wednesday and Thursday as the squad continues to prepare for the 2012 season. Daly will join William Buller and Tom Blomqvist, who will be making their GP3 debuts at the test.

Both Blomqvist and Buller had race-winning campaigns in F3 this year, the former taking one win on his way to sixth in the German series while Buller won once in the British championship and also finished sixth at Macau last weekend.

Daly spent the full 2011 GP3 season with Carlin, as he divided his time between GP3 and Indy Lights in the U.S.

“I'm really looking forward to getting back in the car this week,” said Daly. "Our focus will be to further develop the car and continue to learn as much as possible. My aim is to return to GP3 in 2012 and be in a position to make a run at the championship."

Team principal Trevor Carlin added, “Obviously, we welcome Conor back with open arms; he was extremely impressive this season, on tracks he had never raced on before. To have him back in the car for testing and aiding our development program further will be extremely helpful.”
