Former Ferrari technical director Aldo Costa has parted company with the Italian car maker, the team has confirmed.
Costa had relinquished his position as technical director back in May, after a poor start to the season for the Maranello squad. The team had said Costa would "take on new responsibilities within the company."
However, Ferrari confirmed on Wednesday the contract has been voided by mutual agreement and that Costa will leave the company.
The Italian will be on "gardening leave" until the end of the year.
