Epic Racing's Albert Costa has received a 10-second penalty for a jump start in this morning's Formula Renault 3.5 race in Monaco.
Costa gained two positions from his sixth-place starting position into Sainte Devote on the opening lap. The Spaniard, who finished on the podium in Monaco in 2010, drops from fourth to ninth as a result of the penalty.
The revised result means that Fortec's Alexander Rossi reverts to his third position, ahead of Costa, in the drivers' standings.
