The Grand-Am Rolex Series ran its second scheduled test day Saturday in Indianapolis, and two things stayed the same as on Friday – it was hot, and a Corvette DP led the times. Ambient temperatures topped 100 and track temperature was again recorded at a staggering 156 degrees.
GAINSCO/Bob Stallings ceded the top spot to SunTrust Racing, which, with Ricky Taylor driving posted the fastest lap of testing at 1:23.962 (108.649mph).
GM led the GT ranks again, but rather than the Autohaus Camaro it was the Whelen Engineering Corvette driven by Eric Curran and Boris Said (1:31.355, 99.857mph).
With some drivers unable to participate in either day due to other commitments, there will be a further day of testing on Monday.
