F3 Euro Series title contender Stefano Coletti has been excluded from this weekend's Norisring event for hitting Jules Bianchi after the race one podium proceedings.
Both drivers had appeared on the podium for race one, with Bianchi first and Coletti third. However, the pair then came to blows afterwards, and Bianchi did not attend the post-race press conference.
Coletti admitted to the stewards that he hit the ART driver, but added that he felt Bianchi had said "bad words" to him beforehand.
The stewards took the decision to exclude the Prema Powerteam driver from the whole meeting, which means he will not take part in race two.
However, his exclusion from Saturday's race will not affect the rest of the results. The drivers behind him do not move up a place, meaning that Sam Bird will still start from pole position having finished eighth in race one. Coletti's grid slot (sixth) will remain empty.
