British Formula 3 race-winner Max Chilton will graduate to the GP2 Asia series this winter.
The younger brother of British Touring Car Championship star Tom will race for front-running squad Barwa Addax, which ran Russian racer Vitaly Petrov to second place in this season's main GP2 Series.
"I've got a two-day test at Jerez on October 5 and 6 and then we fly out two weeks later for the first race in Abu Dhabi," said 18-year-old Chilton, who scored his maiden outright British F3 win in his last race in the category at Brands Hatch last weekend.
"I feel a little bit nervous because I haven't driven the car yet, but we'll see how it goes and if the team think I'm quick enough then we'll do the main series next year."
