TOPEKA, Kan. (Aug. 10, 2004) – Car and Driver, one of the World’s largest automotive enthusiast publications, calls SCCA Pro Racing’s SPEED World Challenge Championships the “best road racing in the country,” in its current September 2004 issue.
The six-page article, entitled “Cadillac’s CTS-V livens up what is already the best road racing in the country,” focuses on four very different SCCA SPEED World Challenge GT machines: Michael Galati’s Audi RS 6, Max Angelelli and Andy Pilgrim’s Cadillac CTS-V, Phil McClure’s Chevrolet Corvette ZO6 and Tommy Archer’s Dodge Viper Competition Coupe. Car and Driver Technical Director Larry Webster had a chance to drive all four machines at Gingerman Raceway in June, giving his initial impressions of the cars as well as an overview on the series, in general.
The September 2004 issue of Car and Driver is available on newsstands now. A half-hour “Car and Driver Television” show documenting the day will air Saturday, Oct. 23 on Spike TV.
