Campos Grand Prix has received a boost ahead of its step up to Formula 1 next year after announcing a major tie-up with Spain's Murcia regional government.

Team principal Adrian Campos announced that the partnership with the local government and his outfit would help with the construction of a new team manufacturing plant in the Fuente Alamo Technology Park. Furthermore, the plans will include the construction of a new racetrack that would form the centrepiece for Campos' aerodynamic testing plans -- with the circuit having a two-mile straight.

The news of the association with Murcia comes with Campos's car designer Dallara having hit the latest of its deadlines for completing the team's new F1 car.
