Jenson Button will drive a McLaren Formula 1 car through the streets of Manchester later this month as part of a three-day festival in the British city.
The 2009 World Champion's run will take place at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 29 from Albert square, which will also be the setting for an F1 fan zone run by team sponsor Vodafone, and through the Deansgate area.
"Driving an F1 car through Manchester is going to be a unique experience for me," Button said. "There's a chance for the public to win some great prizes so I hope Manchester is going to be out in force and are looking forward to the holiday as much as I am."
Button's run will form part of three days of festivities in Manchester, which will include a go-kart track, F1 simulator and working pit garage.
