Ayrton Senna will be remembered at a special tribute event at the Brazilian embassy in Rome later this month.

To mark the 15th anniversary since the three-time champion was killed at the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix, the embassy is to host a display featuring three of his cars – from F1, F3 and Formula Ford – as well as helmets, racing gear and other memorabilia.

As well as focusing on Senna's racing career, the display will also honour the work that the Ayrton Senna Institute – which has helped improve the lives of less fortunate Brazilians. The charity has donated more than 70 million Euros over the past 15 years to help more than 11 million Brazilian children.

The event runs from September 18-20, with Senna's sister Vivianne and his nephew Bruno attending the opening day.
