Lotus Racing boss Tony Fernandes will auction off seats for charity on the AirAsia plane that Virgin rival Richard Branson will serve as an air hostess for losing a bet.
The two airline bosses laid down a bet at the beginning of the season, whereby the losing F1 team principal would serve as a flight attendant – in full uniform – on the other's airline.
After appearing in the pit lane together at the season finale in Abu Dhabi for a photo opportunity where they were measured up for their uniforms, Fernandes has now revealed more about his plans for Branson.
"It is going to be a London to Kuala Lumpur flight," Fernandes said. "We haven't fixed a date but I was well prepared this weekend. We had a badge made for him that reads 'Richard Branson, Flight Attendant'. And a uniform. The plan is to auction the seats and give the money to charity. We will have the world's media there.
"Many years ago Richard Branson employed me and I worked for him, so I shall look forward to him sucking up to me as a stewardess – with shaved legs!"
