Jonathan Bomarito rounds out the lineup of six drivers aboard the new Riley Technologies SRT Viper American Le Mans Series program. Bomarito, a full-time competitor in Grand-Am's Rolex Series with the SpeedSource Mazda RX-8, will race the Viper in endurance events.
The native of Monterey, Calif., scored the biggest win of his career in the 24 Hours of Daytona in 2010 in the GT class, driving a Riley Technologies chassis car. SRT Motorsports partnered with Riley on the design and build of the new SRT Viper GTS-R racecars. Bomarito is expected to make his debut for the SRT Viper GTS-R team during the Petit Le Mans event at Road Atlanta on Oct. 20.
While Bomarito and Ryan Hunter-Reay will drive for the team in endurance races, the full-season lineup includes Kuno Wittmer, Dominik Farnbacher, Marc Goossens and Tommy Kendall. The team is set to debut at the next ALMS race at Mid-Ohio on Aug. 4.
