BMW has revealed the production version of its forthcoming M6 Gran Coupe in a series of official photos ahead of the 2014-model four-door sedan's planned public debut at the Detroit auto show in January.

Set to compete with the Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG, Porsche Panamera Turbo and upcoming Audi RS7, BMW's latest M-car sets is powered by a direct-injected 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 delivering 560hp and peak torque of 500 lb-ft of torque through a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Key visual cues include including a more aggressive body kit, exposed carbon fiber roof panel, painted brake calipers and stylish 20-inch wheels. It is expected to go on sale in the U.S. next summer.
