BMW is to reduce its works involvement in the World Touring Car Championship from five to two cars for the 2010 season.
Three-time champion Andy Priaulx will remain with the RBM team, where he will be joined by Augusto Farfus. The Brazilian has driven for the Schnitzer team for the past three seasons, but the German squad is to focus on BMW's GT program next year. Farfus' former teammate Jorg Muller is also moving across to sports car racing.
The ROAL team, which ran Alex Zanardi and Sergio Hernandez this season, will no longer be part of BMW's WTCC lineup.
The reduction in BMW's works program has been rumored for several weeks. Champion team SEAT is also expected to scale down its WTCC presence for 2010, although Chevrolet will maintain its three-car factory lineup.
