Jules Bianchi will graduate to the GP2 Series next season with the champion ART Grand Prix team.
The 20-year-old Frenchman has already clinched this year's Formula 3 Euro Series title with ART, winning eight of the 18 races held so far. He set the third-fastest time on the first day of last week's GP2 test at Jerez with ART and the team today announced that he has been signed for both the forthcoming Asia Series and next summer's main championship.
"Jules showed that he has all the necessary qualities to succeed in the higher levels of motorsport," said ART boss Frederic Vasseur. "It is only logical that we put our trust in him to defend the colors of ART in GP2, which is the most competitive junior championship on the way to Formula 1."
Bianchi revealed at the start of the season that his manager Nicolas Todt had promised him a drive in GP2 if he won the F3 title this year.
