Jules Bianchi wrapped up the Formula 3 Euro Series title in style with victory in race two at Dijon.

The ART driver took advantage of a huge first corner pile-up on the opening lap to rise from seventh to third. From there he picked off Mucke teammates Sam Bird and Alexander Sims to take the win and the championship.

Bird also worked his way past Sims and kept Bianchi under pressure to the flag. Pole man Sims slipped back to fifth at the finish, losing further places to Manor's Roberto Merhi and ART's Esteban Gutierrez, who charged up from 12th on the grid to fourth.

Mucke's Christian Vietoris, who needed to win to stand any hope of taking the title fight on to the final round at Hockenheim, came home sixth for the final point.

The first-lap collision was started when Merhi cut across Motopark's Christopher Zanella, sending him into a spin. Mika Maki had to spin in avoidance and his Signature Dallara was then collected by four other cars, tearing the nose off in the process.

The Finn climbed out of the wreckage, but instantly fell to the ground in obvious pain. He was taken to the circuit medical center and found to have a bruised pelvis.
